With life sucking more and more and games staying around $60 a pop, one must find ways to play for cheap. While I don't (actively) support pirating modern games, there is little shame in retro emulators to play roms, which can be downloaded in seconds for free. Nintendo is not in production of SNES games, so even if you download them free off the internet you're not cutting their profits. Emulators here: emulator-zone.com/Roms (game files) here: www.coolrom.com/If you're looking for something a little more modern, most MMORPGs (except of course World of WarCraft) have gone belly-up and can now be downloaded and played for free. Check them out. www.everquest2.com/ for Everquest II sto.perfectworld.com/ for Star Trek Online (My first review!) www.ddo.com/ for Dungeons and Dragons Online Also, for us central Arkansans, the Hastings in Jacksonville has been slinging certain PS3, Xbox360, and Wii games for 10 dollars. The titles are iffy, but 10 bucks ain't bad. I got Duke Nukem Forever (iffy) and Alpha Protocol (which kinda kicked-ass btw) for $10 a pop. That's cool because it wasn't long ago that unused PS3 games where like $40 at the lowest.

Also, DC Universe Online is free on PSN if your into super heroes and MMORPGs. There's also a "free" game on PSN called FreeRealms, which seemed to try to be every game at once, but it's only free to level 5, which anyone who's dabbled in MMORPGs can tell you, is not as long as it takes to download the thing... Regardless, it's an option for the bored and curious.
Additional: Hydrophobia Prophecy on PSN was like $2.49 or something wierd like that. Astro Tripper is $1.99 on PSN, too, but it may as well be a mini.

Add Lord of the Rings Online to the ever growing list of "free" MMORPGs. Downloading it now. I may do a text review of a lot of the these freebies, as I'm cheap as shit and have yet to pass one up without giving it about 16-20 levels. I won't be doing a video unless I'm just blown away by one.

Lord of the Rings Online turned out to be kinda charming. I even added my character to my Sig, because what good is being a forum douche if your sig isn't bigger than your posts?
Somewhere in the back of my mind, a review begins to form.

I've been wanting to find the time to start DC and LOTR again but just haven't found the time. But I enjoyed both when I played.
