Portal 2, a squeal to portal which was part of the orange box along with Half Life 2, puts you in the long fall boots of Chell the games silent protagonist as she attempts to escape the aperture labs facility and it's crazy overseer AI GLaDOS. The game play has you clearing different puzzles having to deal with simple physics like momentum, or just trying to get to the other end of the room by some elaborate means to advance to the next room to do another puzzle or tests as there called in the game. The story doesn't take off till about the half way point when you and your spherical ally Wheatly take the fight to GLaDOS. I won't go into what happens next just that you end up at the bottom of the facility where you will learn the history of aperture and the origins of GLaDOS herself. The game play and the story take off here, but still at times will get hidden behind going from test to test trying to get back to the top. Once you do and clear a few more tests you get to the finial boss. I won't spoil the boss fight for you, but I will tell you it might get to you if you don't know what to do. However it's not that hard to figure it out, and once you do it's easy after that. The ending is cool, but it's also weird. I wish I could show you, but most of you have played the game and know what I mean. Those that don't play the game to find out what I mean. The fun doesn't end once the single player is done because there is a co-op mode too which will test both you and your friends wits and patience. I can't say much beyond that about it because I have not played it yet. So with all that to consider, plus the voice acting which was good for the few rolls there were, and the music which was spectacular including the song that plays during the credits what should I give this game? I mean everything was great, but the game play doesn't change that much nor do the environments for that matter, but that not what the game is meant for so I give Portal 2: 4 1up mushrooms out of 5. Give this game a shot if you have a 360, PS3 or PC and see what you think. Till next time see ya.
