As promised at the end of the Super Munchers review.
DOS games don't work in modern windows. If you have an itch to scratch, check out dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/
D-fend reloaded download also comes with DOSBox, which is a DOS Emulator, and the tools to set up a list of games you can click on instead of trying to remember and type in the old DOS commands, like C/:run WC2.exe which is like like a foriegn language now-a-days.
You can find free downloads, like Super Munchers, at www.myabandonware.com/
When you have your game and D-Fend ReLoaded downloaded and unzipped:
-open D-Fend Reloaded
-click Extras at the top
-click Open Games Folder from the drop down list.
-Copy/paste the entire unzipped folder of the game you chose into the window. There should already be two folders in there. On mine they are called doszip and freedos, so you should see them and and your game.
-Close the Games Folder window.
-In D-Fend Reloaded, click Profile, right next to Extras from the previous step.
-click Add With Wizard
-Probably best to go with the defaults thoughtout most of the process, but on the second page, there will be an empty field labeled "Program to be started"
-select your game's folder from the list you just added it to.
-Depending on the size and complexity of the game, you may have to use you own judgement as to which application is the actual game, as many have setups and shit like that, but it's usually pretty simple. Example, for WarCraft: Orcs and Humans the correct choice was named WAR as opposed to say SETUP or SOUNDCARD, etc. Simple games, like Super Munchers, will be much more straight-forward having only 1 choice.
-once you field has been filled, click next if you want to toy around with stuff, or just hit OK and you're done.
-Your game has been added to the main list in D-Fend, and now merely requires a double click to play from now on!
-Enjoy.
